Lindsay Porter first performed with Tekki and Tellin’ Tales in Body Language in 2006. Since then, she has performed in several TTT productions including Bases Loaded, Letting Go, and Classroom Drama. She is the facilitator for the TTT youth storytelling program True Tales, which serves kids with chronic illnesses and disabilities. As an actor, Lindsay appeared in dozens of productions and was a company member of the Organic Theater and Running With Scissors. As a member of SAG AFTRA, she worked in television, film and voiceover. When she started a family, she transitioned to storytelling, where she performed with Story Sessions, Serving the Sentence, Tuesday Funk, Loose Chicks, Miss Spoken and Upright Citizens Brigade and Fillet of Solo among others. Lindsay has taught theater and storytelling in jails, schools, hospitals and community centers, and for three summers she was a resident playwright at the William Inge Center in Kansas. As a standup comedian, she has performed with the Mother Cluckers, Logan Lounge Showcase, Oak Park Comedy Club, The Chicago Women’s Funny Fest, She recently started doing stand-up comedy and has performed with the Mother Cluckers, the Waukegan Comedy Jam, Chicago Woman’s Funny Fest and many others. Lindsay’s son CJ – a budding comedian himself – participated in Six Stories Up last year and will be the lead in Six Stories Up in the Roaring 20s in the fall of 2020.
